Important Information for Tour Participants
【Payment】
Advance online payment by credit card is required.
【Cancellation Policy】
In the case of cancellation due to personal reasons, the following cancellation
fees will apply:
30% for cancellations made 30 days prior to the tour
50% for cancellations made 14 days prior
80% for cancellations made 7 days prior
100% for cancellations made on the day before or on the day of the tour
※If the package includes accommodation at LODGE Clubman, the cancellation fee for accommodation follows the lodge’s cancellation policy.
※Refunds will be issued after deducting the cancellation fee and a 5% online payment processing fee.
【Date Changes】
Changes to dates or participant numbers are accepted whenever possible; however, the regular cancellation policy applies from 30 days prior to the tour. Please contact us as early as possible for any changes.
【Tour Cancellation by Organizer】
The tour may be canceled if dangerous weather or natural conditions are anticipated.
If the tour must be canceled, you will be notified by the evening of the day before the tour.
If canceled at the guide’s discretion, no cancellation fee will be charged.
Routes may be changed depending on weather and snow conditions.
No refunds will be made for interruptions due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances after the tour has started.
If an injury or illness occurs during the tour, the tour will be stopped immediately, and the safety of the affected guest will be prioritized.
For accommodation packages, if an activity is canceled due to weather, the price difference between the activity package and regular accommodation will be refunded.
Accommodation fees themselves are non-refundable.
※In the event that the CAT cannot be operated due to mechanical issues,
the program may be changed to a hike-up backcountry tour. In this case,
if the customer chooses to cancel, no cancellation fee will be charged.
Please note that we cannot provide compensation for any travel expenses arranged by the customer if a CAT tour cannot be operated due to mechanical issues.
Important Notes for Participation
●Personal Responsibility
Outdoor activities in natural environments carry inherent risks. Our guides always act with great care and judgment based on conditions such as weather, but it is impossible to eliminate all risks. Please understand and accept this before joining.
●Compliance
During the tour, please follow all instructions and advice from guide.
●Attitude
Guides will support and advise participants unfamiliar with the equipment or techniques, but your own awareness and effort are essential. Please act responsibly, especially in non-critical situations.
●Health Management
Get sufficient rest before the tour and ensure you are in good physical condition.
Participation may be refused if you are deemed unwell or unfit to join.
●Teamwork
Except for private tours, activities are generally conducted in groups. Cooperation and mutual respect help ensure smooth operation and safety.
●First Aid & Responsibility
In case of accidents, injuries, or illness, our staff will provide first aid and arrange medical care as necessary, but participation is at your own risk.
You agree not to claim damages from the organizing company or individual guides/instructors.
Insurance coverage applies only within the scope of your subscribed plan.
●Insurance
Please note that international guests visiting Japan are not eligible for Japanese domestic travel insurance.
We recommend obtaining travel insurance for international visitors that covers outdoor activities.
Backcountry & CAT Tour Gear List
Ski/Snowboard Equipment

Skis (alpine or telemark) / Snowboard (splitboard recommended)

Avalanche gear: beacon (triple antenna required), shovel, probe

Backpack, climbing gear (skins or snowshoes), poles with powder rings

Recommended ski width: 90mm or more for mid-winter conditions

Helmet use is strongly recommended (rental available)

Sunglasses (for hiking), two pairs of gloves (for hiking and riding), spare goggles, warm clothing (especially for breaks)
Food & Drinks
Bring light snacks for quick energy during breaks (bread, rice balls,
energy bars, drinks, etc.)
During CAT & Ride Tours, lunch can be taken indoors at the CAT base
. Hot water and instant noodles are available.
Other Important Notes

Helmet use is recommended for both safety and mental focus.

Please inform us of any medical conditions (heart, circulatory issues, allergies, etc.).
Participation may be declined if a doctor’s approval is required. -
You are responsible for handling and returning all rental gear and personal equipment.
The organizer is not liable for damage, loss, or theft due to negligence; repair or replacement costs may apply.

Our tours are mainly conducted in Japanese, with basic English support available.
If you feel uneasy about possible language barriers, participation may not be suitable.
